TikTok Marketing API setup

AdverGrove requires your own authorized TikTok API connection. An AdverGrove subscription gives you software access; API permissions and account quotas come from TikTok.

App ID, Secret and access token

Your developer app has an App ID and Secret. These identify the application. A Marketing API access token authorizes API calls for approved advertiser resources. A Pixel Events API token or your Ads Manager password is not a replacement.

1. Register and create a developer app

Open TikTok API for Business, complete developer onboarding and create your app under My Apps. Request the products and permissions needed for your integration. TikTok may require review before authorization or production use.

2. Configure an exact redirect URL

The redirect URI sent in an authorization request must match a redirect URL registered for that app. Scheme, hostname, path and trailing slash matter. For AdverGrove’s configured OAuth flow, use the exact callback shown in the tool’s API guide. Your own developer app must use its own configured backend callback.

3. Get advertiser authorization

The advertiser signs in to TikTok and grants permitted resources. TikTok redirects back with an authorization code. Your trusted backend exchanges the code with App ID and Secret using the Marketing API authentication endpoint. Keep the Secret on the server.

4. Save the token in Connections

Once your AdverGrove access is active, open Connections and use Connect TikTok or Save securely. Tokens are encrypted on the server and remain separate for each customer. Use only your own Business Center or resources you have explicit permission to manage.
